EASTENDERS and THE BILL star Billy Murray is set to open the second day of the Stanford Festival on Sunday morning at 10am.

Best known for his roles as Johnny Allen in East Enders and the notorious Don Beech in The Bill, Billy will be joined by East Thurrock MP Angela Smith in what has now become one of the best loved festivals in the borough.

The two-day Stanford Festival is part of the summer-long Thurrock Festival. Already crowds have been thronging to a whole host of events from Chafford Hundred to Horndon.
