LEADING community activists in Stanford-le-Hope are calling for some of the wards derelict buildings to be restored as part of the borough’s regeneration policy.

Cllr Terry Hipsey and Rev John Guest have focussed on the snooker hall and bank building at the corner of The Green as prime candidates for regeneration.

We spoke to Terry and John about their proposals as John calls for a regeneration that makes “Icons of the community”.
