T’s under 14’s played their last league game of the season and even though the squad knew they will be relegated to the second division, they played with determination and heart to the last minute of play.

The score didn’t reflect the effort and outstanding rugby the 14’s put in. They have had a tough season this year in the 1st division, with most teams towering above them, but they didn’t disappoint on sunday and left Brentwood having to work for the ball.

T’s kept their heads and focus even when some decisions by the ref went against them. Thurrock’s forwards were stronger in the scrums winning the ball 90% of the time.

T’s Charlie Harris and Charlie Hulse made some outstanding tackles with the back up of Alfie Walker, Arri Pluck and Jay Woodward. Brentwood used a gap on T’s wing to make a break away try putting them on the score board, T’s didn’t give up and with some outstanding rugby from Conor Pearson and Kye Holloway who may be small in stature but they certainly make a big impression to the game with some good ball skills reading the game the well.

T’s Charlie Currie nearly put T’s on the score board with a strong run driving his way through Brentwoods defence but Brentwood managed to turn the ball around gaining possession. Thurrocks Josh Taylor, Jack Forde, Daniel Oladokun and Ryan Wilkins stopped Brentwood increasing there lead by defending there line with valiant effort.

T’s kept the game on the pitch and showed their sportsmanship and maturity throughout, a great game of rugby was played by all..
