Police are appealing for information about a fatal road crash last night (Friday February 19) at just after 6 pm on Whitehall Road, Grays where a pedestrian was struck by a white van.

The pedestrian , a 52-year-old local man was taken to Basildon Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Pc 2131 Downes at Laindon Road Policing unit on 0300 333 4444.
