Thurrock Police: Policing The Vulnerable
WE ALL know that there is a hidden world of crimes against the most vulnerable out there. From a parent having their life savings drained away to those who egg on a vulnerable young man to risk his life, just for their amusement.
Thurrock Police in partnership with Thurrock Council’s Adult Social Care are working together in a ground breaking partnership to educate officers and arm them with the necessary skills to spot possible abuse against those most vulnerable.
YourThurrock spoke to former Supt and now Head of Community Involvement Board, Graham Carey about how the training is shaping up and how the police gauge it’s effectiveness.
