Girls Rugby in Thurrock
NEEDLESS to say it is William Edwards under the guidance and dynamism of PE teacher and T-Birds skipper Mercedes Foy that has seen the introduction of girls’ rugby at the school.
Last friday, they hosted an Emerging Schools Tournament for schools across the county. All we can say is that they didn’t hold back. Indeed look out for the smother tackle at 2mins 50 secs into the film! Somehow the ruck ended up with three schools in it!
It was a very windy day (apologies for sound).
If you like the look of rugby then there is a taster session for the T-Chicks at Thurrock Rugby Club at 6.30pm tonight.
