Cricket: Mason takes second SNEL hat-tirck

BRADLEY Mason claimed his second SNEL hat-trick of the season as Horndon second XI defeated Woodford Green by six wickets in their latest SNEL fixture at The Green on Saturday. In total Bradley Mason claimed five victims, all bowled in figures of 5-47. Dave Roberts 2-56 and Mark Wills 1-38 were the other wicket takers as Woodford Green were restricted to just 169-8 from their 52 overs.
In reply Horndon never looked in any danger of making the required total and won with 13 overs to spare. Opener Connor Hammond made a solid 55 and James Stitson 38 as Horndon reached their target for the loss of just four wickets.
Horndon remain top of the SNEL 2nd XI Division Three and face second placed Basildon & Pitsea at the Recreation Ground next Saturday
