BEFORE the Olympic torch relay began in Grays, the people held a paraded from Lodge Lane to Hogg Lane.
Led by bagpipers, Aveline from Aveley primary, Thurrock scouts, banghra dancers and parades from many of the schools in Thurrock.
It was a great warm up for the main event and it was great to see so many people watching, waving and supporting.
