Drink-driving clampdown continues as driver stopped in West Thurrock

A MOTORIST from Grays is due to appear in court next month (August) after having been charged with drink-driving.

The man had been driving a Ford Fiesta along Cygnet Way in West Thurrock when he was stopped by police shortly before 1am on Sunday, July 15.

He was arrested at the scene and later charged with one count of driving while under the influence of alcohol.

The 18-year-old man from Grays was subsequently released on police bail prior to his appearance at Basildon Magistrates Court on Thursday, August 2.
