Council bid to drive religious worshippers underground
Date posted: 27-07-2012
WITH the car park in New Road, Grays now out of bounds as building work has begun on the new South Essex College, worshippers at St Peter’s and St Paul’s have struggled to find someone to park.
However, Thurrock Council may now be the good samaritan as it has agreed to look into the possibility of the council’s underground car park being used.
Local councillor, cllr Martin Healy made the request. Council leader, John Kent said: “There are certain difficulties using the car park but it is certainly something that we will try to arrange.”
