Man in court over Aveley street fight

A MAN appeared at Magistrates Court in Southend on Saturday morning (July 28) after he was charged with assaulting four people following a fight in Aveley on July 25.
Martin WALL, aged 20, from High Street Aveley was charged with one count of wounding without intent and three counts of assault by beating.
Police had been called at 10.20pm on Wednesday, July 25, with reports of several people injured following a disturbance in Aveley High Street. Four people were injured, one man, aged 32 from Grays, with a serious head injury, who was taken to Queens Hospital in Romford where he remains. Martin Wall was later arrested and charged.
Detective need to speak to a woman driver who stopped at the scene and gave first aid to the seriously injured man. She should contact Dc Nick Phillips at the Serious Crime team on 101.
