Medical director of Basildon hospital quits

THE MEDICAL Director of Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital has today resigned.

Dr Stephen Morgan, has worked for the Trust since 1995, leading the renal services.

Alan Whittle, Chief Executive of Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said: “Dr Stephen Morgan has decided, after a long period of discussions with his family and colleagues at the Trust, to tender his resignation as Medical Director.

“After over seven years in post Dr Morgan has decided to return to full time medical practice, leading the Trust’s renal services, which he established shortly after joining the Trust in 1995.”
