Date posted: 04-09-2012
ONE OF THE UK’s foremost educationalists is delivering a key training day at Hassenbrook Academy next week.
Professor Dylan Wiliam is an Emeritus Professors of Educational Assessment at the Institute of Education (Univ of London) and will be at the Hassenbrook Road Academy on Monday September 10th.
He is an expert in the power of education to transform lives and how to do it better.
This key training day is a must for all practitioners including IIT staff and NQTs.
Prof Wiliam’s philosophy can be centred around the quotation: “If what you are doing under the heading of assessment for learning involves putting anything into a spreadsheet, then you are not doing the assessment for learning that makes the most difference to student learning.”
The cost of the day is £80 inc lunch.
For further details contact: M Smith (firstname.lastname@example.org) or M Bamber on 01375 671566.
Places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

9:00: Why we need to raise achievement, what’s been tried, and why it hasn’t worked
