Drowning Foal rescued by fire crew in Tilbury

FIRE CREWS came to the rescue of a one-year-old foal who had got into difficulties in water in Tilbury.

Crews came to the rescue at just after 9am this morning (Wednesday) in a field near the Fort Road in Tilbury.

The one year old foal had become stuck in one metre of water in an irrigation ditch.

The animal rescue team used specialist rescue equipment and led the foal to safety. The animal was left in the care of the owner.
