The Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus recruits new members just a couple of times a year so that the Chorus can focus on developing and learning singing skills and repertory. Led by Chorus Master Jeremy Haneman, the Chorus sings a wide ranging repertory of classical, opera and modern music and performs several times a year.
The Thurrock Community Chorus has been established for 18 months and has grown to more than 80 members of all ages and all abilities. Rehearsals are on Mondays during term time from 7.15pm-9.30pm at the Backstage Centre, High House Production Park . It is lively group but everyone takes the music very seriously and is open to anyone living in Thurrock aged 8 and above. Experienced singers are welcome but there is no need to have any previous singing experience to join the Chorus. If you want to sing, the Chorus wants you. The open rehearsal is free to attend and open to all. Come along and find you voice.
The Thurrock Community Chorus’s next concert will be with the Royal Opera Chorus at the Backstage Centre, National Skills Academy in Purfleet on Saturday 13 October at 7.30pm.
