European opportunities available to businesses in Thurrock
Date posted: 09-10-2012
ERASMUS for Young Entrepreneurs is an exciting new European project that is available to businesses and individuals in Thurrock.
The scheme offers the opportunity for established businesses to receive ‘would be’ entrepreneurs from other European countries to work in their business for a period of up to six months. The ‘would be’ entrepreneurs are committed, dynamic, full of fresh ideas and eager to learn from their hosts.
The project has been running for over four years but is new to the East of England. Established business owners have already seen benefits with longer term partnerships in Europe forged and the opportunity to explore fresh ideas.
With the European Union subsidising the stay of new entrepreneurs, established business owners do not have to pay the visiting entrepreneur, thus enabling the relationship to take the form of a real partnership. The programme is being run by NWES in the East of England. Michele Stewart, Project Manager at NWES says:
“Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is a huge opportunity for business owners. It is often too easy to look inward especially during tough economic times, this programme allows established entrepreneurs to broaden their horizons and work with talented individuals and identify new markets.”
