It’s about time Thurrock Council followed in the footsteps of Hillingdon Council in West London and ditch ‘celebrating’ Black History Month. It was nothing more than a national Labour idea designed to ensure that the black vote continued to support the Labour party. All history relevant to Britain should be taught in schools, such as WWII and well as including the roles Black and Asian soldiers from the Empire played etc etc….

There should be no need to single out one group of voters over another using history as an excuse.

The same organisation that the council are supposed to be investigating for financial irregularities and value for money. The same organisation that paid a grant to the organisation run by the mayor or who the mayor used to be chairman of. Have WH smith sold a bundle of brown envelopes lately. What a pile of dung this really is.
