Police report arrests after large gang fight in Corringham

ESSEX POLICE have reported a large number of arrests following a large disturbance in Corringham Town Centre on Sunday afternoon.

The police helicopter was called at just after 3.30pm.

The chopper reported on Twitter that it was providing:  ”Assistance to ground units in Corringham following a disturbance from a large group. Several arrests and intelligence gathered.

There have been unconfirmed reports that the disturbance was an organised confrontation between Tilbury and Corringham youths.

The disturbance follows a series of complaints regarding anti-social behaviour in Corringham.
