Grays Athletic chief in court over “conspiracy to commit violence” charge

THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF Grays Athletic, Andy Swallow, appeared at Thames magistrates court this morning (Oct 15th) to answer a charge of “Conspiracy to commit violence”.
The charge relates to alleged activity before the FA Cup 3rd round fixture between Dagenham and Redbridge and Millwall FC on January 7th.
Dressed in jeans and a blue sweater, Swallow (51), Biscayne Avenue, London did not speak at the hearing.
Swallow was joined in the dock by five others.
Swallow was bailed to appear at Inner London Crown Court (Southwark) on Dec 21st.
Applications by Swallow’s solicitor for press restrictions, change to the bail conditions and a change to the location of the next hearing were all refused by the magistrate, Miss Cummings.
