Green Business Forum is there to help save on bills

Date posted: 04-02-2013

THE Green Business Forum is a Thurrock Council initiative to help local businesses.

Energy and water bills are growing so need to be managed carefully.

Many businesses monitor their gas, electricity and water usage in order to look out for unexpected changes. Have you tried monitoring this data when your business is closed? For example, how much are you paying for these services over night and at weekends? You may be surprised at what you discover! If you need help with these matters, call us, our help is free.

Do you know anyone who wants to start, or has recently started, their own local business? Thurrock Council, in conjunction with the ERDF Low Carbon Business programme will give up to a £1,000 Start-Up Bursary to help new businesses.

Email startup@thurrock.gov.uk and ask for the application and guidance documents. Closing date is March 1, 2013.
