Sunday March 23 will see the launch of a second service for Community Church Chafford Hundred. Regularly meeting at 10:30 am each week at Harris Academy Chafford Hundred, they will now also be meeting at 4:00 pm at the same location.
The church has been around for over 18 years and began from humble beginnings, starting with just 35 people. However with numbers now touching 400+ every Sunday, the time has come to introduce a second service.
About the new service, David Bareham Lead Elder for Community Church said, “We are regularly full at our Sunday morning service so the 4:00 pm service will allow the opportunity for some of our congregation to switch to the afternoon and create some space for others to attend the morning service. We also believe that this new service will attract people who may not be able to attend on a Sunday morning. This is an exciting new season for us as a church as we will now be meeting in three services over two sites!”
The afternoon service will be similar to the morning service with facilities for children and young people as well as the opportunity to connect with other interest groups in the church.
