Harris summer fete raises thousands

THE HARRIS ACADEMY PTA summer fair took place on Saturday 12th July. It was incredibly well attended and raised a record amount of cash for the primary academy.

The fair was opened by Mr Britt, their Executive Principal, the Mayor of Thurrock, Steve Liddiard, local Councillor Tunde Ojetola as well as famed “LaLa Loopsy” the ragdoll. This started the fair off at 12.00 p.m. sharp and the children, parents, families and staff who came were soon all enjoying the range of activities available in the broad sunshine.

Among the activities on offer were Europe’s largest inflatable, bouncy castles, Nando’s wheel of fortune, jewellery and craft stalls, ice creams and drinks galore, African food, barbeque, quad bike racing as well as a market square where jujitsu, dance and music was performed by local groups.
