Athletics: More success for Theo

Endurance report

Marek Kowalski was in action at the British indoor Masters at Lee Valley on Sunday coming 4th in the Triple Jump with a massive PB, recording 10.41m an increase of 0.41m over his previous best.

Nick Trencher recorded a PB in the Colchester half marathon on Sunday. Nick came 77th in a field over over 2600 runners in a time of 87min 11sec, improving his previous best by over two minutes.

The senior endurance runners are in action this Saturday at the Essex Road Relay Championships, Harwich.

British Combined championship

At the British Combined championship over the weekend at Sheffield this week end, ,4 athletes from Thurrock took part.

For the U17B , Theo Adesina in his first year as U17B did us all proud in the indoor heptathlon coming a very good 4th over hall with a PB of 4468 points which now ranked number one in Essex, East and England. He also achived 5 other PB in his other events.

PB in 60m with a time of 7.29 & PB in 60H of 8.78 which place him 3rd in Essex in both..

PB in Pole Vault with 2.91m which make him number one for U17B in Essex.

PB in LJ with a massive jump of 6.91m which make him number one in Essex & East and 2nd in the UK

PB in 5Kgs shot of 10.69 which rank him 3rd in Essex.

For the U15B we had Daniel Ogutuga for the U15B pentathlon who came 9 overall with total PB points of 2360 which rank him 2nd in Essex and the East. he also PB in HJ with a jump of 1.61m which make him 2nd in Essex & the East.

And in LJ he PB with a massive jump of 6.20m which now ranked him 2nd in Essex, East and the UK.

Also there for the U15G was Sola Taiwo who came 12 with a PB of total points of 2714 from an entry of 45 girls, she is now rank first in Essex and 2nd in the East. Unfortunately Ruby Bridger had to pull out after LJ with a knee injury.
