Magical Narnia exhibition shows amazing Media Make-Up talent
TALENTED Media Make-Up students from South Essex College held a live exhibition based on The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
The second year Level 3 Fashion, Theatre and Media Hair and Make-up Studies students put on this event as part of the College’s Grays open evening and their end of year show.
Students, who all study at the College’s Thurrock Campus, had to each create a look themed on the famous Chronicles of Narnia book, drawing inspiration from characters and the film.
They had three hours to put the finished looks on their models using various media make-up techniques including body paint and special effects prosthetics.
Production Arts students helped with the exhibition dressing the Thurrock Auditorium space with matching sets, props and lighting to give the make-up designs an authentic backdrop for photographs.
Charli Bignell, Course Leader, said: “I’m incredibly proud, the exhibition was a massive success. It showcased the creative talent and technical skills of our amazing students.”
This incredibly popular College course could lead to a career in make-up for the stage, film and TV. For more information, visit www.southessex.ac.uk
