TILBURY Pioneer Academy’s choir were delighted to accept a repeat invitation for them to perform their Christmas songs to the residents and staff at Willows Lodge Care Home, for the third year running.

Mr Steve Toomey, Entertainments coordinator, along with the residents and staff made the pupils feel very welcome. The choir sang beautifully to three different sets of residents.

The songs were a perfect warm-up for the choir, who were set to sing at the Tilbury Lights event later on that night (see pictured). The care home were fully in the
Christmas spirit, ahead of their Christmas Fete on Saturday 9 December. Their Christmas Fete will run from 10am to 3pm and all are welcome! (see photo of Steve with details of the Christmas Fete).

Mr Jamie Jardine, Chair of the Friends of Pioneer’s PTA, said “I so proud of our pupils who sang their hearts out for the residents at Willow Lodge. They were a joy to be heard and they represented the school fantastically with their exemplary behaviour.”
