Police appeal after “scrambler biker” seriously injured in Purfleet smash

POLICE are continuing to appeal for information following a collision in London Road, Purfleet, yesterday (Tuesday, January 9).

A scrambler bike was in collision with a lorry at around 3pm with the rider, a man aged in his 20s, taken to hospital with serious injuries.

He remains in hospital for his injuries, which are not reported to be life-threatening.

Following the incident, a man we believe is known to the rider left the scene with the bike. He is a significant witness and we would like to talk to him.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to Chigwell Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting incident 558 of 09/01 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

    What a mate he is,leaving his friend like that.

    Now send him and his parents the massive bill for all the Emergency Services involved and compensate the poor lorry driver for what must have been a traumatic experience.Then double it if he doesn’t say who his mate that run off is.
    Lets get this Country back on it’s feet.
