ARMED police swooped on Grays High Street after reports that youths were brandising firearms in the area.
An Essex Police spokespersn said: “We were called with reports a group of teenage boys were seen near The Thurrock Health Centre in High Street, Grays, at about 12.30pm on Saturday, March 10 and one had what appeared to be a firearm.
“Officers attended and carried out a search of the area.
“They stopped and searched six individuals but no weapon was found.
“Enquiries are ongoing. Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact police at Grays on 101.
