Third man charged over burglary in Tilbury where man in his eighties injured

ESSEX Police has charged a third man in connection with an aggravated burglary in Tilbury.

Emmanuel Ijelu 26, of Lindisfarne Way, Homerton, has been charged with aggravated burglary, being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin and possession cannabis.

He is due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Saturday, April 14, following his arrest at around 1.10pm yesterday.

The charge follows an aggravated burglary in Portsea Road, Tilbury, at around 11.30pm on Monday, September 18. During the incident a man, aged in his 80s, suffered a cut to his check.

We previously reported Ayomide Ijelu, 23, of Lindisfarne Way, Homerton, and Salih Bulbuller, 22, of Homerton Road, Homerton, with aggravated burglary and they are due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on Thursday, April 26.

All three men have been remanded in custody.

    If it’s not the Travelers praying on the elderly it’s our colonial cousins. What ever happened to decency and morals.
    Praying on the elderly is a crime that only the lowest form of life commit.
    Hang them on a Saturday morning, I’d pay to see that.
