This summer intu Lakeside has launched the voting for their annual Retailer Awards, giving customers the chance to celebrate their favourite stores of 2018; challenging Primark and runner up, Boots the winners of the “Store I can’t live without” in 2017.
Whether it is Starbucks who make the perfect latte, Jo Malone for a luxury signature scent or Primark’s bargain high-street fashion; this year’s awards are the chance to recognise which store shines the brightest.

This year intu Lakeside has welcomed a variety of new retailers including Rossi Ice Creams, Jo Malone, Silentnight, Mitsubishi, Mr Simms and has secured investment from Zara and River Island who will be upsizing their stores in 2019. In total, intu Lakeside’s occupiers spent £13 million on new stores, refits and refurbishments last year.
The 2018 intu Lakeside Retailer Awards will be sponsored by McLaren Construction, the lead contractor responsible for building the 175,000 sq ft leisure development which will be anchored by leisure brands Nickelodeon, Hollywood Bowl, FlipOut and new mini-golf operator Puttshack and 11 new restaurants.
