I would like to express my thanks as ward councillor to the resident groups that put so much effort into ensuring the visit of Highways England to Orsett Village hall on Wednesday 19th September was so well attended.
“I would also like to put on record my disbelief as to how Highways England treated those residents who took time out of their busy lives to attend by using outdated routes maps which were almost a year old, not having any hand outs or leaflets for residents to take away and consider and I couldn’t believe how many times I heard a residents question answered with ” that’s a really good question but I will have to get back to you ”
I think the residents of Thurrock need to be listened to and not just paid lip service. The route suggested by HE is wrong on so many counts. What is the real reason Highways England are ignoring the people of Thurrock?
