Grays Beachcombers have another amazing day

ANOTHER amazing pick today at Grays Beach. Good weather, lots of new faces and 24 pickers. Thirty-three sacks of rubbish including 210 plastic bottles.

Thanks to both The Lighthouse Café staff and the council for their support today.

As you can see from the pile of rubbish in the photo, there is still loads of rubbish needs collecting from the foreshores.

Their next pick is on Wednesday meeting at the Wharf Pub..

Dates of future Thames21 badged litter picks for your diary:

Wednesday 7th November – meeting at The Wharf Hotel (Pub) RM17 5YX from 10:30 to 13:00. Civilised litter pick starting in the pub carpark, this event will include about a 1 mile leisurely walk. We will be keeping a keen eye open for the grey seal who has been seen fishing on this stretch of river over the last few weeks.

Wednesday 21st November (provisional date) – meeting at St Clements Church RM20 4AL from 10:30 to 13:30. Back by popular demand – picking near the QE2 Bridge, this event will entail about 4 miles walk

Sunday 2th December – meeting at Grays Yacht Club at 10:30 to 12:00 followed by free refreshments in the café. The Grays Beachcombers regular monthly pick.

Wednesday 5th December – meeting at The Worlds End Pub, Tilbury RM18 7NR from 10:30 to 13:00. Picking near Tilbury Fort, this event will entail about 3 miles walk. No guarantee that you will spot Benny the whale!

Sunday 6th January 2019 – meeting at Grays Yacht Club at 10:30 to 12:00 followed by free refreshments in the café. This is Grays Beachcombers regular monthly pick.

    Well done guys.

    They should make all the dole dossing parasites do this each week for there money instead of gambling, smoking and drug taking it all away.
