THURROCK Adult Community College is now taking enrolments for a new Dyspraxia Awareness Level 2 qualification evening course, developed to enable a wide range of learners to improve their knowledge and understanding of the challenges faced by people living with dyspraxia (whether a healthcare or education professional, parent/carer or individual) and become more confident about implementing strategies for success.

Compared to other disorders, Dyspraxia or DCD (Developmental Coordination Disorder) remains poorly understood despite being formally recognised by international bodies including the World Health Organisation. Dyspraxia is a common disorder affecting fine and/or gross motor coordination in children and adults, which may affect their participation and functioning of everyday life skills in education, work and employment.

Call 01375 372476 to book on the assessment for this informative 6 week course that starts on Monday 7 January, from 6pm to 9.30pm at the college in Richmond Road, Grays, RM17 6DN.
