Lyn Carpenter, Chief Executive of Thurrock Council, said: “Steve Cox has been at Thurrock Council since November 2011. In that time, as Assistant Chief Executive and latterly as Corporate Director of Place, Steve has led the regeneration agenda contributing significantly to shaping the borough’s future including through the Your Place, Your Voice engagement events, moving the Local Plan process forward, progressing Purfleet regeneration, supporting High House Production Park, securing the Council’s largest ever capital project to widen the A13 and many, many more.

“Steve will be a hard act to follow but I am delighted that he has been appointed as Executive Director of Place and Economy. I know all at Thurrock Council wish him every success in his new role.”
