In three years YT has grown to be the most prolific provider of news in the borough and in those three years over 200 local printed newspapers have closed.

Lakeside, South Essex College, Park Inn, Thurrock Council, Petroplus, Runwood Homes, Orsett Hall as well as all of the borough’s senior schools advertise/subscribe to the site.

Advertisers appreciate that digital advertising is the way forward. Companies such as Bacardi focus 90% of their advertising on-line.

YT has been using social media (Youtube, Twitter and Facebook) to be at the cutting edge of the news. It is no wonder that the Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt invited YT to round table discussions earlier this year as part of his deliberations on Local TV. With Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) just around the corner, now is the time to advertise with YourThurrock.

For £1100 a year, you can have your banner ad above one of the pages. Sponsoring a page is used by many companies as part of their “Corporate and Social Responsibility” duties.

In sponsoring a page, we will also ensure that we publicise any press release sent to us. Often companies tell us of professional awards, charity work and a whole host of information that we will publicise.

We will also proactively look to promote items. For example, if we saw that one of your employees is nominated for apprentice of the year, we would come along to film
