From public speaking to drama and now to singing. Elizabeth harbours ambitions to be a politician.

Let us hope Elizabeth one day becomes prime minister and we can retire on the repeat fees!

Your Voice and Tall Dark Friend at the Thameside

YOUNG singers in Thurrock aged between 11 and 18 years are invited to perform live on stage at the next Your Voice Showcase on Thursday 18 October, 7.30pm at the Thameside Theatre, Orsett Road, Grays.

Your Voice is an exciting performance opportunity which is hosted and organised by Thurrock Music Services vocal tutor Shana Elliott-Hayers. It is run in partnership with the Thameside Theatre and YourThurrock.com.

All singers chosen from open auditions which were held in September have taken part in a vocal and performance workshop giving each the chance to develop their stagecraft skills with industry experts. During this Showcase event, one lucky performer is chosen at random to win the opportunity of a recording studio session, kindly donated by the new Careers Centre Studio. All performances during the Showcase are broadcast on www.yourthurrock.com

The special guest for the event is Tall Dark Friend who will be previewing his two pop videos and discussing with the performers the difficulties of reaching the ‘next step’ and how to get the best exposure in the music industry.

Arthur Walwin-Unplugged at the Thameside

IT IS nearly four years since we last filmed Arthur Walwin. He has matured nicely as an artist. That big acoustic brings a booming sound and Arthur’s voice can transfix an audience.

Arthur came along to guest in the latest YourVoice showcase at the Thameside and after presenting two songs, took part in a Q and A with the students.

His “For One More Night” EP is out on Engineer Records and available to download on I-Tunes.
