THREE top comedians and a night packed with comedy? Check. A top venue with a great atmosphere? Check. Waitress service to your table? Check. That’s it sorted then, the Official Comedy Club returns to the Orsett Hall on Thursday 13 June for another fantastic night of live stand – up comedy.
OVER 3000 people attended the Strawberry Fayre held at Orsett Hall on Bank Holiday Monday. There was something to do for all the family and wherever you went you were greeted with smiling faces. The Fayre is a chance for all the family to get together and enjoy an afternoon of fun, food, drink and entertainment at Orsett Hall.

Orsett Hall has introduced a new comedy evening over the last few months in the wonderfully appointed Pavilion Room. This venue is nicely set out with a small stage appropriately lit and a good friendly feel to the place. It is good value as well with three comedians on the bill plus a disco,if you so wish, for just £12 or £10 if you are a comedy club member.

WHAT a night… Simply the best night out I have ever had in Essex. Having never been to a
comedy club before. I had no idea what I was letting myself in for, however from the second my fiancée and I arrived I knew it was going to be a good night. We drove through the Orsett Hall entrance following the trail of glowing lights leading to the car park, and listened for the sound of laughter to lead us to the pavilion. I’m sure this plan would have worked if we weren’t 2 hours early; so instead we followed the pathway marked ‘comedy club’ to check out the pre show buffet and help prop up the bar.
Amuse Bouche: “Egg and Soldier” This was delightful first course. You have to be curious when you are served with a boiled egg on a bed of straw! But deep within is the spicy delights of chorizo. It really does set the scene. Roast Duck Breast: Liver and foie gras parfait, plum and almond The combination of textures and tastes are outstanding. We would recommend this with a Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon. The breast was succulent and all the elements perfectly complimented each other.
ON Sunday 3 March, Haddon Events will once again be bringing their Essex Vintage Fair to Orsett Hall. The Fair will be open 10.30am – 4.00pm. Admission £3.00 (OAPs and Students £1.50). Expect to find some of the best vintage dealers around, who will be selling a wide variety of 20th Century design, clothing, vintage, retro and kitsch items such as:

AFTER several successful shows in 2012, Friday night saw the return of the “The Comedy Club” to Orsett Hall. The event was held in the Pavilion and was the perfect setting for what promised to be a great night. Doors opened at 6pm so there was plenty of time before the show started to get a meal and to make a proper night of it. The food available was typical “comedy night” fare such as curry, chilli, burgers, rice, chips and for those watching their figure, a lovely salad.
AFTER a fantastic run of shows through 2012, we welcome back the Official Comedy Club to the Orsett Hall with the first show of 2013 on Friday 1 February 2013. Come and join THEM and see how the professionals do it in style.

FOLLOWING the success of their first Friday Night Live event, Orsett Hall are pleased to announce Friday Night Live II featuring COLUMBIA, who are Essex’s Finest Cover Band, playing chart hits from the last six decades, including: The Kinks, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, The Jacksons and even Dolly Parton right through to today’s classics such as Katy Perry, Oasis, Maroon 5, Take That and Kings Of Leon. Delivering every song with their own trademark style.
THE Official Comedy Club continues its hilarious run of shows at the Orsett Hall Hotel on Thursday 29 November, so it’s time to let loose and laugh the night away. With three of the UK’s finest stand up comedians as seen on TV, you know you’re in for a top night out!
THERE ARE wedding fayres and there are wedding fayres. Sixteen other hotels and organisations had wedding fayres on the same day as Orsett Hall. But the car park was packed and so was the adjoining field! There was an array of stalls that lined the suites and halls. Flowers, dresses, hats, singers: even a chimney sweep.
The Orsett Hall are hosting a Boutique Fayre on Wednesday 24 October 2012 between 7.30pm and 11.00pm. Come along for a fantastic evening of pampering and shopping!

TOWIE’S Lucy Meckleburgh lit up the MacMillan coffee morning at Orsett Hall on Friday morning. Resplendent in a lime green dress and trailed by a number of papparazzi, Lucy played host as a large number of friends enjoyed coffee as well as shopping in a number of stalls which certainly had an “Only Way is Essex” feel to them.
