It was a sarcastic dig when I mentioned Del Trotter. I'm really not sure whether that goes far enough now. Can someone please deal with the antichrist Redsell. Maybe MI6 should be called in along with special forces as it's clear the police and criminal system in this country are unable to deal with her demonic powers.

What seems to have been forgotten by the media and the police is that a man was hacked to death in broad daylight by muslim fanatics and the fact that there are probably more out there like that that wish to do harm to people.

Instead of concentrating on that the media and the police and the government want to conecentrate on the far right making sure they don't attack anyone. So lets protect people and places that have not been attacked and put the blame on the nasty white english racists again.

Well at least we know where we stand with the police, media and government. Step out of line and you'll get it. Get hacked to death and we'll ensure that nobody gets the opportunity to protest against muslim fanatics.

In the meantime people like Abu Qatada, Anjem Choudary et al get to run amok and spew their bile. And they wonder why people get p1ssed off with the police, media and government.

In politics it isn't about right or wrong - it's about knowing where all the bodies are buried.

If Councillor A get exposed by their colleagues for voting on their partners planning application...

Would Councillor A expose Councillor B & C for enjoying an undeclared all expenses holiday paid for by Councillor A's partner?

And if Councillor B is exposed for taking freebies from a developer would they then expose Councillor D for voting to award a Council contract to their relative but failing to declare they were voting to benefit their relative?

And if Councillor D is exposed would he then expose Councillor C for removing large quantities of stationary from the Council to use in their business?

And if Councillor C is exposed for stealing Council stationary would they then expose Councillor E and Councillor F for removing hundreds of reams of paper from the Council to enable party X to print their election stationary.

And if Councillor E and F are exposed for stealing Council paper for use in party Xs election leaflets would they then expose Councillor G, Councillor H, Councillor I and Councillor J for using their Council mobiles to canvass residents during election time.

Where you have a corrupt political party you get a situation where you have a circular firing squad in which nobody has the courage to pull the trigger to expose a colleague's corruption because everyone else has dirt on everyone else.

Of course the above examples are not based on reality and are only used as fictional figurative examples not based on any alleged corrupt or criminal activity by anyone living or dead and are not based on any councillors either alive or dead or serving or former councillors.

It's like having Del Trotter running the council. What wil the council announce next, Tilbury spring water, genuine rolex watches for a fiver being sold in the market on the local Labour party stall. What's the Labour party's election slogan for next year? This time next year we'll all be millionaires.

Quite frankly, I don't agree with the position either of Thurrock's MPs have taken. I do, however, believe it is their right to vote with their conscience; it's a pity they don't do it more often and spend most of their time following the party line.

I do find it amusing when JD-P says that "I was not sent to Parliament to make bad law" yet she voted for and actively supports legislation that attacks the poor, the sick and the disabled of the country but allows big corporations and rich individuals to avoid vast amounts of tax. At least Metcalfe had the sense to say that there are more important issues to be dealt with.

I personally believe that same-sex marriage is an important issue regarding equality; however, there are a number of more serious issues that need sorting first - tax avoidance, the damage being caused to the NHS by the 'reforms', the deaths attributable to the changes in the welfare system, the misuse of statistics by Government ministers to discriminate against and demonise the poor, the sick and the disabled and the utter disregard shown by members of the Government to the corruption and hate-mongering within their ranks.

This is all a pipe dream and just a matter of wishful thinking for the organizers of 02 to take over the State Cinema in Grays. It seems the people that operate the 02 establishment are not even interested in the building as they would have made contact with the Estate Agents or Thurrock Borough Council before now if they had any interest at all in the property. And for the person that said the building should be demolished. The State Cinema can not be demolished as it is a Grade11* listed building in care of English Heritage.
This weeks Thurrock Gazette Front Page News informs everyone that the State Cinema is on the market for sale. (I always thought front page was for latest news, not history).
The State Cinema in Grays has in fact been for sale for about the past twelve months and is being offered for sale with planning permission for it to be used as an entertainments venue in accordance with the results of a feasibility study that was made on the building.

I can't agree with lay people on scrutiny committees, there is no guarantee that lay persons would make any better decisions than Councillors and they would cop the flak should they make mistakes instead of Councillors. We elect people to represent us and make decisions on our behalf. Those elected persons must be accountable for their decisions, not un-elected lay people.
