Appalling to read that the council is contemplating launching its own newspaper at a potential cost of half a million pounds at the same time as it is decimating libary opening hours without consultation. Research shows that libary use increases during economic recessions as job seekers visit their libraries to use the internet and newspapers, print cvs and borrow books that may help them to qualify for new jobs. The plan to impose cuts in opening hours at all the libraries including the central library at Grays while spending tax payers' money on promoting their own image shows contempt by councillors for the people they are supposed to represent.

This a very good website for local information and news - congratulations to whoever started this.

I came to know this website only this morning at our Healthj For All - focus on Diabetes OPN DASY at Chadwell St Mary.

Password is quite complicated -- Can I make it simpler?

I wish I had known this website long ago!

Thanks for the great review of the show. For clarity, the sound issues are nothing to do with the equipment, they are to do with the person working the equipment.

The radio mics are brand new state of the art pieces of equipment purchased by the society through funding from a Thames Gateway Development grant.

Not sure if you know but the shell haven site is under development from today, 1st June 2009. Many of the locals would have been woken in the early hours to the sound of heavy plant concrete smashing! Im sure there will be a story to be had down there!
Regards,
MJ
