TWO PEOPLE have been arrested after an alleged early morning knife fight took place at Purfleet Railway Station
British Transport Police received a call from shocked commuters, shortly after 9am on Thursday, 9 September
Four people, three men and a woman were involved in an altercation on platform 2, during which a knife was used. A knife was later recovered from the scene.
All four had left the scene before police arrived, but two people were later arrested nearby, a 31 year old woman from Grays, who has been released on police bail until 15 October and a 27 year old man from Grays, Zeshan Choudhri, who was treated for facial injuries at Basildon Hospital and later charged with possession of a bladed article.
He appeared at Southend Magistrates Court on 11 September and was further remanded in custody until 15 September.
Police are still looking for two other men in relation to this incident, one of whom is believed to be Zeshan’s brother.
