The second opportunity for local people to quiz top councillors and council officials face-to-face in the community is being held next month.
Thurrock’s Future — Let’s Talk, will be at All Saints’ Church, Foyle Drive, South Ockendon on the evening of Monday, 15 November, starting at 7pm sharp.
Anyone who has a question to put to the council should email it to cabinet.questions@thurrock.gov.uk, enter it through the council’s website at www.thurrock.gov.uk/democracy/cabinet, or write to Thurrock’s Future – Let’s Talk, Communications, Thurrock Council, New Road , Grays RM17 6SL. Questions should be received by 1 November.
People wishing to attend the event are also asked to register via any of the methods above.
The Rev Brian Duckworth will be moderating the event and choosing the questions to be asked on the night. Time permitting, there will also be a “from the floor” opportunity for the audience to ask questions direct to the panel.
Cllr John Kent, Leader of Thurrock Council, said: “The first of these events proved quite a success, but we have learned a few lessons too.
“I can’t guarantee that every question submitted will be answered on the night, but we will try to make sure everyone who asks a question gets a response.
“I would urge everyone to get involved, ask questions and come along to the meeting. There will be a chance to mingle with cabinet members and high-ranking council officers after the formal session is over.”
