A LEADING Thurrock councillor has slammed Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital after the latest government report illustrated that the under-fire hospital still had major concerns.
Councillor Wendy Herd was speaking out in her capacity as a member of the Health and Well-Being overview and scrutiny committee which have been a fierce critic of the hospital over the past few years.
What seems to have angered cllr Herd is the perceived arrogance of the hospital in rebutting some of the concerns detailed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
