Cleaning services at Basildon hospital “red-rated”

CLEANING services in very high risk areas have been red-rated by Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals Foundation Trust.

During March there were three occasions when the monitoring of very high risk areas did not reach the target of 96 per cent; there were five occasions related to very high risk areas and two related to high risk areas where rectification was needed to meet the required standards reports the Health Service Journal.

Concerns were raised by directors on informal walkabouts in the trust.

“The trust is monitoring the provision of the service very carefully and has drawn to the attention of the contractor the need to ensure that the required standards are achieved consistently going forward,” the board was told.

  1. The Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital, as got a new Chief Executive to run the hospital, what a pity that they have got the old problem of lack of cleaning skils in the hospital, as the super bug MRSA as reared its head again, we were told that it had been aliminated and there was no further risk to paitents, since then oone paitent has died from it.
Once again there is an investigation in place because a patient died after contracting the MRSA bug twice, a spokesman said they were not worried, but was testing all in paitents for the bug, no problems there then, isnt it about time that this super hospital over came this bug once and for all, becuase people will wont to go to another hospital in case they get the killer bug.
