Fire in lorry park in West Thurrock

FIRE crews were called to a lorry park after smoke was seen issuing from the back of a 40 ft trailer unit.

The fire was in the Titan lorry park in Oliver Road, West Thurrock.

After discovering the lorry contained 27 tonnes of shredded soft car parts and nothing hazardous, firefighters gained access to the trainer to get to the seat of the fire.

An aerial ladder platform and an additional crew were called to the scene for extra manpower and to assist in gaining access and by 04:44 hrs crews reported they had used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.<
