PATIENTS on the older people wards at Basildon Hospital received early Christmas gifts thanks to the kindness of staff at UK Power Networks.

Rob Priston from UK Power Networks said: “This is the third year that we have given gifts to the older patients at Basildon Hospital.

Staff in the Network Records department decided to donate the gifts instead of holding a secret Santa”.

Karen Fashanu, Matron, said: “Our older patients really appreciate that somebody has thought of them this Christmas.”
