A CHILD was taken to hospital after suffering facial injuries in a three car road traffic smash in Chadwell St Mary.
Essex Ambulance Service reported that the child and an adult were taken to Basildon Hospital with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.

Police were called to the scene of a road traffic collision (RTC) on Defoe Parade in Chadwell St Mary at just after 2.20pm this afternoon.
Three vehicles were involved in the rtc: A blue Renault Clio, a black Ford Galaxy and a blue Vauxhall Corsa.
The area has been cordoned off to allow emergency services access.
Two people were taken to Basildon Hospital as a result of their injuries.

ROUTES 66 & 83: Due to an RTC on Brentwood Rd, buses are having to divert. We are not able to serve Heath Rd, Cedar Rd, Godman Rd or Longhouse Rd.
Buses will stop at any stop on Claudian Way.
