“WE are continually trying to improve the experience for our patients. We know that being a patient or a relative of a patient can be a worrying experience and our aim is to make sure this is as positive experience as possible. We are working on a number of projects and initiatives to gain the views and feedback from both patients and relatives.
“I would like to invite you to attend 1 of 4 meetings as part of the Improving Patient Experience Project. This is a joint project between Basildon & Thurrock Hospital and The Patients Association. The objectives of the project are to
ensure engagement with the whole community served by the hospital evaluate current patient experience data identify and focus on particular areas for improvement improve patient experience within the hospital
“As part of the project, we want to work with local communities to identify and deal with your priority issues, and agree future working together. Your attendance at these meetings is really important in making sure we make genuine improvements for patient care and experience.
The meetings will be held

Wednesday 25 June 2-4pm, Holiday Inn, Festival Leisure Park, Basildon SS14 3DG
Wednesday 25 June 6-8pm, CTC, Basildon & Thurrock Hospital, Basildon SS16 5NL
The events will hear a short presentation giving an introduction to this work then attendees will be asked to join smaller discussion groups to discuss questions around

What are your priorities for change?
How can we all work together on improving patient experience?
