A MAN was taken to hospital this morning (Thursday) following a crash in Orsett.

Emergency services rushed to Brentwood Road at just after 6.20am following a crash between a car and a lorry.

One man was treated for shock and chest injuries.

The injuries were not thought to be life threatening but the patient was taken to Basildon Hospital.
