POORLY children who have to spend Christmas in Basildon Hospital have a special outing to look forward to when they are better, thanks to a local family business.
The team from 360Play, a family entertainment centre in Basildon, visited children’s wards on Christmas Eve, with free passes for every young patient and one of their parents. The passes can be used whenever the youngsters are well enough to enjoy an outing.
Paul Rafferty and Amanda Springham from 360Play, brought the passes and gifts for the children accompanied by the venue’s popular characters Twizzle and Twirl.
360 Play, located at Basildon Festival Park, offers fun activities for families that encourage children to be active and let their imagination run wild, whatever the weather.
Helen Mattock, capital accountant and member of the Trust fundraising team, said:
“This was a lovely gesture from a local business that will help to make up for the children having to stay in hospital over Christmas. 360Play recently donated an entry pass for a raffle prize at our Polly Parrot charitable ball, and we are very grateful for their support.”
