THE three lucky winners of our Easter egg colouring competition were presented with chocolate Easter eggs for their hard work.
Justin Woods, 8, Rhiannon Emerson, 5 (centre), and Scarlett Rackham, 9, were the winners in the three age groups for the competition, which raised money for the Polly Parrot Appeal.
The appeal is raising funds to revamp and refresh children’s areas within Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals.
The winners were selected by judges from Holiday Inn, Basildon, who have selected the Polly Parrot Appeal as their charity of the year. Their prize was presented by Kevin Coombes from Holiday Inn.
Clair Grayston, fundraiser, said: “The standard of entries was really high so we asked our friends at the Holiday Inn if they could help us select the winners.
“The children were very excited to learn they had won and that they had earned themselves a chocolate Easter egg.”
