THURROCK Council in conjunction with Amber Coaches has renegotiated the operation of the 14 bus service which is currently servicing Corringham, Fobbing and Basildon.
Instead of operating a limited service on only Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, the route will run all week apart from on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
The changes will start from 28 December 2016 and will now see the service reverting back to joining service 374.
There are no additional costs and therefore, fares will not need to increase as a result of the changes.
Portfolio Holder for Highways and Transport, Cllr Brian Little said: “I’m really pleased to see this valuable service being used and as a result increased.
“The important route which travels to Basildon Hospital and bus station is valued by the community and I’m pleased we’re not only committing to protect the service, but have also worked with the operator to increase the service to run six times a week.”
